Konstantin Savchenko was born into the family of renowned Ukrainian artist Yurii Hryhorovych Savchenko. From his father, Konstantin inherited expressive energy and a distinctive, impulsive painting style.
In 1987, he graduated from the Kharkiv Art School. Since 1988, he has been actively participating in group exhibitions in Ukraine and abroad.
In 1994, he graduated from the Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts, specializing in graphic arts.
Since 1999, he has been a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine and an academician of painting.
He is also a member of the Youth Association at the Kharkiv Branch of the Union of Artists of Ukraine.
He has taken part in numerous national and all-Ukrainian exhibitions since 1988.
His solo exhibitions have been held in Kyiv (1994, 1995, 1997), Kharkiv (1995 – two exhibitions; 1996), and Zagreb, Croatia (1997).
From 1988, he has regularly exhibited in Kharkiv, Kyiv, Detroit, Chicago, and various cities across Croatia.
In 2004, he was awarded the title of Academician of Design and Arts (UTA), and in 2007, he received an honorary doctorate in Art History (UTA).
Since 2011, he has served as the Director of the Kharkiv Art School.
Between 1992 and 2014, he held numerous solo exhibitions in Kyiv, Berlin, Zagreb, Detroit, Chicago, Jersey City, Toronto, Moscow, St. Petersburg, and other cities worldwide.
His artworks are part of private collections in Ukraine, the USA, Poland, France, Israel, the UK, Japan, Germany, Italy, Canada, Slovakia, Croatia, Bosnia, and Turkey.
